THRESHOLD
For all the legal challenges, arguments and plans for the future, Brexit or no Brexit the real Challenge now is the same for all citizens of the UK.

You may remember: Many moons ago it was said that Britain would become Great again, not in the manner of Empire, but as the Spiritual Leader of the World. In a sense Brexit makes that Quest easier, but of course the Quest is more difficult for some than for others.

Further into the remote past: In the time of Henry VIII, Britain was the kingdom of Protestants and all that the Catholic Church brought in their superstitions and exploitation of humans had to disappear. Of course after the Brexit it’s now time again for Britain to do the same thing, but on a much deeper level.

No longer religion, but to change its mentality in a special way. Being cut off from Continental Europe it will have to look at itself! It was easy in the past to blame Europe for the woes of the UK, but soon if all happens there will be no one to blame except ourselves so, first thing in the morning of every day henceforth, you should look in the mirror and ask yourself who do you compare with, who can you blame now!

Whatever Faith you follow or none at all in the eyes of the establishment, like – I find it difficult to answer the question on form filling, what religion are you?

Brought up as an Anglican Christian, well I have to say my family were not that religious, but sent me to Sunday-School, Choir and Church Youth Club, but as I spent my years in the University of Life I began to find the similarities in the fathomless faiths and also sorted out the superstitions that govern most to the point of religious slavery.

Leaving me with the best of all of them, as I saw it and leading me on to a sacred spiritual journey. So, what do I put on that wretched form? I never did like forms and often just leave that answer blank! How about you?

Why the question in the first place? In case of accident, emergency or sudden death: whether to call a priest to administer the last rites? Which I consider as another superstitious ritual, who knows and anyway what business is it of anyone else but me or you? Anyway I believe that crossing of the threshold is automatic and needs no earthly interference!

But I digress, what does Brexit do for us if it ever overcomes the split in the house, legal challenges et al, and actually happens. Well, in one way the arguments of the Leavers to give us our freedom back, to make our own laws and our own choices as an independent entity on our own little island should make all things possible, that is if we have the sense and the acumen to put our best interests into practice for the good of the general populace and not the privileged few!

On the less obvious side of the spinning coin there is a deeper meaning to the chance to choose which we all have to make yet again. Not a referendum, but an inner choice, which has been waiting patiently for a millennium.

Look at that coin again, in slow motion, as it spins in the air and you will see that on one side, according to the value and the year of the mint there are various images to represent practical physical aspects of our lives.

On the other face is the head of the monarch within which is a brain, the hardware that houses the software of the mind or consciousness. It is this side of which we need to take note as we handle our coins on a daily basis, not withstanding plastic we still need them for car parks and small purchases. Eh?

As you handle a coin let it remind you of the need to look within to your consciousness, not your conscience, but your consciousness which is your avenue to investigate the spiritual side of your life. It will surely lead you to an awareness of the One and only Divinity, the Logos.

Back to earth: What will you do with your new found freedom? Will it affect you that much, perhaps not, but you will still have to elect those who will make those critical decisions about our future and you will be best placed to do that making the best choice, with the spiritual aspect brought to bear from your fundamental Well-being, to the best possible way forward for the whole of the population of this your country.

This can only come to you from that awareness of the pure spiritual side of your being that some have called Ascension which is the same as that elusive spiritual awareness.

So what is that awareness apart from recognition of the Divine?

It enables you in peaceful tranquillity to become aware also of your inner self and this is where the consciousness allows your conscience to manifest itself in your second by second judgement, not of others but of your own every thought, word and deed.

Now the surface of the tranquil pond of your mind, or perhaps a still muddy puddle, that breaks to reveal the threshold which proclaims that there is no room for the judgement of others which is replaced by the respect of another’s choice of pathway to the Divine, your compassion for those less fortunate than you, joy in another’s fortune and your path to help bring the UK to its Spiritual Greatness.

In short in crossing the threshold into self awareness you have broken gently through the barrier of your egotistical mind and allowed the spiritual aspect to reign supreme throughout your total being.
